Despite the incredible heat, the Starwood Pools display booth has been a hit. We strategically positioned ourselves next to the snowcone machine and the kids bounce house! Bedrock Stone has an extensive stone and supply selection amongst a beautifully manicured setting. What a great place to show customers the variety of stone there is to create the desired swimming pool finish!

It's a great weekend in Austin to get out and enjoy the summer Texas weather! Come out and visit us at Bedrock Stone on Hwy 620 for the first Bedrock Days Home and Garden show. We have a pool equipment display setup, sample materials to outfit your new pool, and plenty of pictures of pools we've built for your friends and neighbors! Kids club swimming at the local activity center pool is a great way to bring families together for weekend swim meets. Swimming is a great way for the little ones to get out there energy in a fun and semi competitive atmosphere. They start as young as six years old and it is a healthy low impact sport one can enjoy through their elderly years.

Tadpoles

It's never too early to start the little ones off in water safety training and swimming lessons. It amazes me how young kids are when they learn to swim on their own. The youngest age I witnessed completely swimming on their own was a little girl at 12 months! I know it sounds crazy, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. With her Mom close at hand, she could kick her way back to the edge of the pool to grab hold of the coping. I am a firm believer in starting them off young to create an understanding of water safety and basic skills!

Driving around to visit our jobs on hot days like today for me was like putting candy in front of a kid! Stopping by the pools that are full with water makes it so tempting to want to jump right into the middle of the pool while yelling "Cannonball"! The thought of all the many happy people that are enjoying these moments right now puts a smile on my face!
