Get on your newest bathing suit, break out the sun block, and enjoy the great outdoors by the pool. But, what about that intense sun? How can you really sit in the pool when the sun is cooking every inch of your skin? Simple! Umbrellas in the pool! When building your next pool, be sure to include several of these simple and very inexpensive fittings that allow you to place a standard canvas patio umbrella in your pool and spa. Now you can relax without baking! Now you can read that new novel you just bought in the pool in the middle of the afternoon!

Swimming is a great way for the little ones to get out there energy in a fun and semi competitive atmosphere. They start as young as six years old and it is a healthy low impact sport one can enjoy through their elderly years.

Happy Swimming!

Starwoodpools.com

[Posted with iBlogger from my iPhone]

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.starwoodpools.com/swimming-pool-blog/2009/5/28/tadpoles.html"><rss:title>Tadpoles</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.starwoodpools.com/swimming-pool-blog/2009/5/28/tadpoles.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

It's never too early to start the little ones off in water safety training and swimming lessons. It amazes me how young kids are when they learn to swim on their own. The youngest age I witnessed completely swimming on their own was a little girl at 12 months! I know it sounds crazy, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. With her Mom close at hand, she could kick her way back to the edge of the pool to grab hold of the coping. I am a firm believer in starting them off young to create an understanding of water safety and basic skills!

There are so many ways a yard can transform to create an updated look and feel. A simple kidney bean shaped pool that was built back in the 70's can be easily turned into a natural shaped lagoon with a beach, spa, waterfall grotto, color LED lighting, all operated from a remote control.
