Swim Safe

Many of us don't think twice when jumping into someones backyard swimming pool. The question is, who is taking care of the water chemistry and are they doing it right? With so many bacterias, viruses, and critters that can be living and swimming in the water waiting for you to join them, it is very important for the care taker of the water to be not only highly qualified, but also diligent in managing the water chemistry. Thousands of pool users become ill in some fashion due to swallowing improperly cared for pool water. Don't let this happen to you. Hire a qualified service and maintenance company to watch your water.

People forget the importance of water safety and disregard consequence that unbalanced and untreated water can have. I have heard of plenty of people picking up diseases from swimming. Be careful and take care of yourselves.

It's not just people's backyard pools we should worry about. Improperly ran public pools in the US are extremely scary. With the US one of the only non third world countries NOT counting bathers the gross factor skyrockets. The reason European pools can run .5 ppm chlorine as a minimum and 1.5ppm as a maximum is they count the bathers using the pool. In the US this would be considered bad for tourism.

Pools are awesome! but remember that pool's sides and bottom are usually made of concrete, and a rock-hard material. A slip or fall could be painful and dangerous.

This is definitely a good point you are touching on. A recent survey here in Belgium showed that a lot of pool owners are having trouble to keep their pool properly sanitized.
